Automatic Cuts for only a portion or portions of the video

Hi Auto-Editor team,

I have a feature request or question:

I would like to cut silences automatically in a video, but keep a specific section completely untouched (no silence cuts at all).

For example:

Video length: 6:51

Cut silences from 0:00 → 2:00

Protect 2:00 → 3:00 completely

Cut silences from 3:00 → end

Is there currently a way to do this in Auto-Editor, or could this feature be considered for future releases?

The --add-in option does this:

"protect" 2:00 -> 3:00

auto-editor video.mp4 --add-in 120sec,180sec

or:

auto-editor video.mp4 --add-in 2min,3min
