Weird character in :PluginUpdate

I'm trying to use :PluginUpdate to update my plugins,
and leave the window when it is finding and downloading updates.
but when I back to the window, I got these weird characters:

And it seems like in PluginInstall it happens too.

How to reproduce

1. Start vim and run :PluginUpdate;
2. leave the window and back again.

Version

OS version: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS (in VirtualBox 7.0.12 r159484 (Qt5.15.2))
