Issue
There is no indication of whether the user is in create mode (either textbox or shapes), which could confuse users, leading them to press the create textbox or shape button multiple times, not knowing they are in create mode.
Solution
Make the cursor different from normal mode and display a message indicating what sort of shape they are creating.
