Add more tests to support future refactoring and improved quality

Probably should add some tests related to border_w=>0, as that just caused a bug (fixed in 1.001). Other tests for things that are inherited from other settings (such as h_rule_w inheriting from rule_w inheriting from h_border_w) might be good -- not necessarily an exhaustive test, but a sampling of such things.
