[FEATURE] Add Support for CloudRedirect

Prerequisites

• I have searched existing issues and confirmed this has not been requested.

Problem / motivation

Can you add support for CloudRedirect.

in CloudRedirect latest release it has this:

Start of support for third party (non-ST) Steam unlock solutions.
Needs some work on the part of authors of the unlock solution.
Once someone implements it, I'll add deployment stuff into the UI.
Documented in code (it's very simple) with formal docs on the way.

Can you please look into it? I use it so much to keep my saves synced, it's great, easy and does it's job really well, have linux Support.

Alternatives considered

I'm using CloudRedirect more than anything else, as I really need the Cloud Sync, I'm using SteamTools as of now but I hate it as it has so many issues

CloudRedirect is undoubtedly a great project, and I can understand why you rely on it so much for save syncing.

However, I probably won’t work on Steam Cloud-related integration immediately. Right now, my main focus is finishing the Denuvo-related save handling and automatic authorization solution.

Also, for Steam Cloud synchronization support, my preferred direction is to restore the native Steam Cloud save system rather than redirecting saves to another place. I’ve already managed to restore native Steam Cloud saves in my testing, but the NetPacket-layer code still needs some refactoring, which will take some time.

I may be able to finish this within about two weeks, but the exact timing depends on my free time. After that, I can take another look at CloudRedirect support.

This is a bad idea. The only thing that Valve has done any enforcement about since they stopped being a game developer and started being a rent seeker (around 2007ish) was abuse of Steam Cloud. They have patched multiple different ways that people have used in the past to store files that are not the game save that corresponds to the owned AppID.

It is trivial to redirect saves to an owned appID that happens to be compatible with this idea, but please don't. Valve pays Microsoft and Google to store your saves. It's not bandwidth; it's not a trivial amount of money. They will patch whatever you are doing and may delete the files uploaded. Or they may leave them against the app you abused forever, as a marker of sorts. I'm implementing a deletion thing now for people who have nonsense in their 760 cloud storage, but if I didn't....that stuff would be there indefinitely for everyone who let ST sync that way (before Valve patched it server side).

The entire reason that CloudRedirect works the way it does (rather than comparatively trivially making uploads to Steam Cloud itself work) is because of how dumb it is to rely on a hostile party to store your saves.

Also, making AutoCloud work natively when you are redirecting to an owned appid that (by the nature of the attack) is not an AutoCloud game is unpleasant.

I had actual Steam Cloud working on the very first day of actual development (rather than research) of CloudRedirect. It's not hard. It's just not a good idea.

Also, consider the fact that you'll be getting Steam's attention on any account bypassing their cloud save storage.
CloudRedirect is a great alternative, it also allows save versioning if used with Google drive.
Any implementation that uses Steam servers for anything else but bandwidth will get their attention.
