This will be mostly replacing library calls with their OpenCL equivalents, right? Probably the best place to start is replacing matrix-multiplication with clBLAS calls. But that would require OpenCL libraries with decent performance across platforms...

Then the question is: replacing with clBLAS is also OpenCL porting?
What might be a problem is that the OpenCL context is easily destroyed, and with that the data on the GPU. So how to keep a CL-process running while the Python script is running?
