Description
Describe the bug
Hi. We already discussed this in the community in Discord, but I wanted to create an issue for tracking purposes.
I am disabled and in a wheelchair. I have a HP OmniBook X Flip 16-ar0014ca 2-in-1 laptop as a communication device to speak. My hands don't work; therefore I have to use software in order to operate my mouse and keyboard. Unfortunately, some apps that I need to use don't run on Windows natively. I downloaded and installed
WSA_2407.40000.4.0_x64_Release-Nightly-GApps-13.0.7z pre-release. It installed successfully on my laptop and can run android apps in it. However, some of my apps need to discover other devices on my WIFI network. In Windows Subsystem for Android under Advanced settings > Experimental features > I have enabled Local network access. However, I cannot ping other devices on my WIFI making the WSA undiscovereable to connect to other devices (eg: wireless printer, the Control4 app, etc.) Just to clarify, WSA connects to the internet fine - just cannot connect to local devices on my network. Am I missing something? Can you help me please?
Thank you
Steps to reproduce the issue
Please read my description.
Expected behaviour
When the Local network access is enabled in the Windows Subsystem for Android settings, I expect the guest-side (Android) to expose its own IP address to my router making it discoverable to other devices on my WIFI network.
