Consolidated list of enhancements

The following are known issues/enhancements in the queue in no particular order.

Completed:
01. Add text output for historical status.
02. Specify a default sqlite3 database in the sample configuration.
03. Use HW decoding by default when available
04. Limit scripts to be only those that already exist and are in the config directory or subdirectory.
05. Add a new viewing only user
06. Allow combinations of streams per port
07. Remove limited use/functionality standard deviation calcs
08. Implement framework for applying webcontrol changes to parameters. (completed v4l2_params, libcam_params and others)
09. Allow use of libcam for v4l2 devices.
10. Revise the indexes provided and/or used in the JSON to be consistent.
11. A better user interface/web page.
12. Add the motion, secondary detection pages to the configuration pages.
13. Add all the options for each params configuration variable to the JSON. e.g. Options for the libcam.
14. Change web page to allow for easy selection of every option for the params configuration item.
15. Consolidate all the stream_preview configuration options into stream_params
16. When changing the name on web page, update the drop down boxes
17. Create new sample webcontrol page.
18. Change messages to not be errors when trying to use the default HW decoding options
19. Consolidate movie_ options into movie_params
20. Add movie_dictionary_params and movie_privdata_params
21. Add user specification for mpegts quality/bps, etc
22. Add option to scale (or not) netcam images to configuration height/width.

Not completed:
OpenCV Related:
1. Add OpenCV descriptions of items detected to database/webcontrol recordings list.
2. Implement rotation on secondary detection.
3. Add functionality to use OpenCV background subtraction as the primary method.
4. Revise to use OpenCV object/human detection as the default.
5. Upload trained models and/or list links on documentation/examples page.

Webcontrol/Stream:

1. Add drop down (or other selection method) to change image feeds on web page.
2. Create video feed compatible with html video element.
3. Implement passthrough like variant for the mpegts
4. Allow for user specified substream scale
5. Revise webcontrol page to handle slow loading log messages.
6. Add CPU, storage and other system info to status json output
7. Add lowstream option

Sound Detection:
1. Save recording of the sound that triggered the frequency alert.
2. Process sound configuration parameters via webcontrol

Sound Recording:
1. Sound recording from v4l2 + ALSA (Difficult)
2. Retain the pts from the packet through the decoding to allow for resync with audio packets.
3. Add capture id number to opaque packet and retrieve after decoding for netcam passthrough processing
4. Implement additional feed that includes sound from camera (HLS? Difficult)

Movies:
1. Add thumbnail option for movies.
2. Continuous movie recordings in blocks with chapter markers/metadata at events.

Misc:
1. Scripts for email notifications/uploads to cloud.
2. Integration with other automation software.
3. TrueType fonts (Difficult).
4. User specified colors for boxes / crosses.
5. Processing of movies at x times normal speed.
6. Allow user to revise database items saved.
7. Test the captured frame vs decoded frame times and compensate to prevent progressive/increasing lag in decoding.

Note that this list was originally started in the Motionplus repository and is now being updated here. The discussion is locked from additional comments and is simply being posted for visibility. If users have solutions/PRs for these, please open a different discussion, issue or PR.
