Hi everyone,
I'm Tanay Maurya, a B.Tech student at IIT Dhanbad. I have worked on computer vision projects related to object detection in robotics at my college’s robotics lab.

I have recently started exploring the PerceptionMetrics repository and I'm interested in contributing to the project. I'm currently preparing for GSoC 2026 and would like to contribute by testing the software, improving tutorials or documentation, and working on beginner-friendly issues.
I am looking forward to learn from the community and start to contribute. Thanks!

Nice to meet you @TanayMaurya84 ! Thanks for your interest in the project. As you already mentioned, the best way for getting acquainted with PerceptionMetrics is by going through software installation and exploring the notebook tutorials. If you find any bug or come up with any improvement, feel free to raise an issue. We also plan to raise some new entry-level issues for newcomers soon. Regarding GSoC, accepted orgs will be announced this week 🤞

@dpascualhe Thanks for the guidance! I have completed the installation and started exploring the notebook tutorials. I will carefully go through them and raise an issue if I come across anything unclear or improvable, and I will ask here if I have any questions.

Hello guys, I have some doubts regarding the GSOC 2026

1. Can everyone apply for it ?
2. Where are we supposed to make the proposal? As the Google form doesn't have an dedicated option for this!
3. What does References in the Google Form mean?
4. What are the criterias for getting selected?
