Question: is this more efficient than the normal emulator?

My problem with the emulator is that it makes my PC fans spin fast and make lots of noise.
Just the loading spinner on a ScrollView makes the PC do so much work it has to increase fan speed.

So, is it more efficient in that regard?
I will test it myself ASAP.
