Improve Navbar Design for Better Professionalism and UX #167

Description

@adarsh0011

Description:

The current navbar lacks modern design elements and professional aesthetics. It needs a comprehensive redesign to improve visual appeal, usability, and alignment with modern web standards.

Current Issues:

  1. Basic/unstyled appearance lacking visual hierarchy
  2. Limited spacing and padding between navigation items
  3. No active state indication for current page
  4. Missing branding elements (logo, proper typography)
  5. No responsive behavior for mobile devices
  6. Minimal visual feedback on hover/interaction

Proposed Improvements:

Visual Design

  • Implement a clean, modern color scheme with appropriate contrast
  • Add proper spacing and padding for better readability
  • Include subtle hover effects and transitions
  • Add active state styling for current page

Structural Improvements

  • Consider adding a logo/brand mark on the left
  • Implement responsive design for mobile (hamburger menu)
  • Ensure adequate spacing between navigation items
  • Add subtle background or border separation

Professional Elements

  • Use consistent, web-safe typography
  • Implement proper vertical alignment and centering
  • Consider adding a slight shadow or depth for elevation
  • Ensure accessibility standards (proper contrast, focus states)
