Questions about the user settings in example "Get_All_Tunings"

Hi, I'm newbie to this and forgive me asking some stupid questions.

sTune/examples/MAX31856_PTC_SSR/Get_All_Tunings/Get_All_Tunings.ino

I use a relay as outputin my system,and here is my question:

1. settleTimeSec is define as prior settling time according to this. I'm guessing this is the cool down time between every test or something like dead time maybe?
2. Does inputSpan equals to the physical limit of the actuator ? For example, I have a heater which can heat up to 220°C does inputSpan equals to (220 - room_temperature)?
3. Does setting outputSpan to 1000 means it will send high low pulse to relay every second?In case I didn't make myself clear here a picture what I meant.

4. outputStart= room temperature when the process start?
5. outputStep= target temperature?
