PN532: Emulate tag rarely works

I know that the PN532's emulation capabilities are fairly limited. However, even when trying to emulate NDEF records, I observed that it rarely works. Writing NDEF records works fine, as well as erasing tags.

Hardware: T-Embed CC1101 Plus

what are you using to read this emulation?

Reading from other T-Embed or from Flipper/T-LoraPager doesn't work well due to timings, but every time I read from my smartphone it works fairly fine.

I have tested it sharing my WIFI networks on NDEF emulation. RFID > Emulate NDEF > Wifi Network > ... and it pops the network connection prompt almos every time.

I've tested it on my android phone (POCO M4 5G). I redid the tests this morning and obtained the same results as before: NDEF emulation rarely works. Also, I believe I could not get NDEF emulation to work (not even once) when the message was read directly from a tag.

I ran the same tests with the ST25R3916 (under the same conditions, but using the Cardputer ADV). Here is what I found out:

1. If I copy a tag with ST25R and then emulate it (the tag, not the NDEF record) on my phone, I get a read.
2. If I try to emulate an NDEF record with the ST25R, the phone won't read it.

If want me to do any more tests please let me known.

Use NFC Tools to check it.. maybe the NDEF tag is not being recognized by the fone, because there is no action for this tag info..

Idk which T-Embed CC1101 Plus version you have.. but you have the newer version with 3 antennas, the NFC antenna is placed at the front, where the IR LED is placed, it is a small antenna.

I finally had the time to run some further tests. I've tested the NFC emulation on an iphone and it works consistently every time. The results I found before while testing on my POCO M4 5G are the same, though (even using NFC Tools). So, the issue must be related to my phone's specific hardware: the phone can read, write, erase, and emulate tags, but for some reason it won't detect the emulation.
