Thanks! I checked the published release: the latest Release workflow completed successfully and the expected desktop/Tauri assets are attached. Great to see the Research Edition work ship in v0.14.0b4.

Letting you know that the Windows Tauri installer for v0.14.0b4 is shipping aw-server-rust v0.13.1, not v0.14.x.

Confirmed. All v0.14.0b4 Tauri bundles (Windows, Linux, and macOS) embed aw-server 0.13.1 (7c33810, 2026-04-17), not the 0.14.x line. aw-tauri's Cargo.lock is still pinned there; the submodule CI guard does not check that lockfile.

Workaround: the classic Qt installer (activitywatch-v0.14.0b4-windows-x86_64-setup.exe) ships aw-server-rust 0.14.x.

b4 Tauri will not be promoted to stable. Same class of bug as #1380; the lockfile bump has to land before the next candidate.

Fixed for the next candidate. aw-tauri#243 updates the embedded server to 0.14.0 at 840d11c9, and activitywatch#1413 now makes every Tauri CI build verify that its Cargo lock matches the top-level aw-server-rust release line and exact revision. The complete Linux/macOS/Windows matrix is green. b4 Tauri remains unsuitable for promotion.

Follow-up on the v0.14.0b4 Tauri 0.13.1 pin (earlier note):

The lockfile bump landed in ActivityWatch/aw-tauri#243 (merged today, f2757d16). The parent recut is #1413. I verified the CI Tauri binaries from that PR (Windows aw-tauri.exe and macOS arm64 aw-tauri): they embed checkout 840d11c (aw-server 0.14.0) with zero leftover 7c33810, and they include the apikey.rs / extension_cors.rs surfaces that b4 was missing.

Published v0.14.0b4 Tauri installers are still the stale 0.13.1 build — do not use those. Wait for a tagged v0.14.0b5 after #1413 merges. The classic Qt installer on b4 remains a 0.14.x path in the meantime.
